After a rough start to the year, things are starting to make sense. I finished at 3-2 again last week, including one of the worst beats of all time with Oregon collapsing against Stanford. Hoping we can go 4-1 or 5-0 this week. Here’s my picks.

Record (11-10)
Home Teams In ALL CAPS
Spreads from “TheScore” As Of 9/25/2018

#25 TEXAS TECH (+3.5) Over #12 West Virginia

Texas Tech has improved every week since a tough loss against Ole Miss. They went into Oklahoma State and dominated last Saturday, and now they head back home against one of the better teams in the nation. I’m nervous about this one, but there’s so few bets I like this week that I have to take a good team at home when they’re getting 3 and a half points.

WASHINGTON STATE (pk) Over Utah

I’ll trust Washington State for one more week. I love their offense, they looked dominant against USC for many stretches of the game. I don’t believe that Utah has the offensive firepower to keep up in this one.

#19 Oregon (-3.0) Over #24 CALIFORNIA

Words can not describe the final quarter of that debacle for Oregon last week, but ignoring that, they have a lot of encouraging pieces. Their offensive line looked dominant for most of the game, and Justin Herbert is a stud. California does have an impressive road win over BYU, but I still like the Ducks here, even on the road.

#22 DUKE (-5.0) Over Virginia Tech

I don’t like to give up big points, but Duke might be one of the most underrated teams in the nation. Virginia Tech looked hot to start the season, but it turns out that Florida State is just awful. Duke can win this game by double digits.

#4 Ohio State (-3.5) Over #9 PENN STATE

This is a bit sacrilegious of me, since I did grow up rooting for Penn State. Ohio State just has better players. PSU has yet to see a defensive line with this much talent, and I doubt they’ll be able to get a rhythm going on offense. Ohio State should win this one fairly easily.
