Brian Sullivan (@MadManScouting)

Every College Football season, there comes a turning point where things just start to make absolutely no sense, and somehow Vegas knows more than any of us. This might be one of those weeks, I’m not entirely sure. After a 3-2 week, I’m feeling confident. Let’s win some money this week.

Season Record (8-8)
Home teams in ALL CAPS

Washington State (+3.5) Over USC

This feels like a trap bet, but Washington State appears to be the better team. USC is a mess right now, despite having plenty of talent. This will be the first real test for Washington State this season, and I think they’ll win this one straight up. Last week I thought Vegas was baiting me with LSU, and I was wrong. This time, I’ll take the team that I think is better.

Score Prediction – Washington State 30 USC 24

MARYLAND (-3.0) Over Minnesota

Maryland is coming off of a humiliating home loss to Temple, a team that lost to Villanova two weeks prior. Minnesota has quietly started 3-0, and they appear to have some momentum going. Maryland should bounce back here with the home crowd behind them; last Saturday feels more like a fluke loss to a Temple team that was desperate for victory.

Score Prediction – Maryland 26 Minnesota 20

South Carolina (-2.0) Over VANDERBILT

Vandy is coming off of a close loss to Notre Dame that everybody saw, so naturally the public is inclined to see them as potentially good football team. Meanwhile, we haven’t seen much of South Carolina, aside from them being destroyed by Georgia. South Carolina will be well rested since their game last week was cancelled, and I expect them to show the nation that they’re a solid team.

Score Prediction – South Carolina 19 Vanderbilt 14

#17 TCU (-3.0) Over TEXAS

There is no shame in losing by 12 against Ohio State. They’re absolutely loaded at every position. What I noticed when I watched that game was that TCU’s defense feels like the College version of the Atlanta Falcons. They have speed everywhere, but they’re still fierce. TCU is the better team here, and they should have a bounce back week against a Texas team that is now being slightly overrated after a big win against USC.

Score Prediction – TCU 45 Texas 30

#20 OREGON (+2.0) Over #7 Stanford

This one is really tough, but I get arguably the best quarterback in the nation at home and a couple of points. Stanford has more talent on both sides of the ball, but they’ve been pretty quiet on offense this season, averaging only 26 points per game despite a fairly easy schedule so far. Their defense has been phenomenal, but Stanford has yet to face an offense with Oregon’s talent. This should be a fun one, but I’ll take Oregon in a tight one.

Score Prediction – Oregon 27 Stanford 24
