Brian Sullivan (@MadManScouting)

Had a decent bounce back week with a 3-2 record, but I’m not satisfied. Let’s go 5-0 this week, here’s my picks.

Record (5-6)
Home Teams in ALL CAPS
All Spreads From “TheScore” As Of 9/11/2018

Missouri (-7.0) Over PURDUE

Speaking of talented quarterbacks, Drew Lock is one of the league’s best, and he’s surrounded by plenty of talent at Missouri. They’re looking to make a statement here, and they have a chance to march in and dominate a Purdue team that’s coming off of a home loss against Eastern Michigan.

SYRACUSE (+3.5) Over Florida State

This might be a trap game. I might be a fool. But I really like what I’ve seen from the Syracuse offense so far this year, albeit against some weaker competition. Florida State could easily bounce back and dominate this game, but with the evidence that I’ve seen so far, getting points at home makes this bet worth it.

#7 AUBURN (-9.5) Over #12 Lsu

TRAP GAME ALERT. Vegas is baiting all of us. Two weeks ago we all saw LSU dominate Miami on national TV. Sure, Auburn is fantastic, but you’d think this would be a 6-7 point spread at most. Instead, Auburn opened as 10 point favorites, and the line is already moving. Watch for it to keep trending towards LSU, then pounce. This feels like a trap.

TEXAS (-3.0) Over #22 Usc

USC appears to be a mess now that Sam Darnold is gone. They’ve struggled early and while Texas hasn’t lived up to it’s lofty expectations either, they’ve had fewer issues when it comes to moving the ball.

Fresno State (+1.5) Over UCLA

I don’t know why I keep believing in Fresno State, but I see this spread and I assume that Vegas is begging me to take UCLA. Especially since UCLA is desperate for a win after a disappointing start to the year. It feels too easy, so I’ll go against it and give Fresno State one more chance.
