Another week. Another set of rankings. There was a lot of motion this week as we continue to separate the contenders from the pretenders in this league.

Check out last week’s rankings here!

1) Minnesota Vikings (5-0) (LW: 2)

Heading into the Bye, the Vikings will likely sit tight here for a few weeks. Want to get even more excited Vikings fans? Look at this remaining schedule… I see a lot of winnable games.

2) New England Patriots (4-1) (LW: 11)

Ah that was fun wasn’t it? Back to the top with the Patriots. Brady did what we all expected.

3) Atlanta Falcons (4-1) (LW: 6)

Will it last? I don’t know. My brain says no, but my heart says yes. This team has what it takes to be a true contender. A good offensive line, great weapons, a stud QB, and a defense that can make plays.

4) Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1) (LW: 5)

Aside from that stinker in Philly, the Steelers look great. Is anyone that surprised?

5) Denver Broncos (4-1) (LW: 1)

The Broncos suffered a tough loss to a very good team last week. Lucky for them, they play the Chargers this week. It’s pretty tough to lose to those guys.

6) Seattle Seahawks (3-1) (LW: 4)

They drop simply because the Falcons and Patriots looked so great. Coming off the Bye, can they make a statement against a red hot Falcons team this week? Should be very interesting.

7) Dallas Cowboys (4-1) (LW: 10)

They continue to rise. Are the Cowboys for real or are the Bengals slowing down? It should be a very interesting match-up between them and Green Bay this weekend.

8) Green Bay Packers (3-1) (LW: 7)

Again… It’ll be a huge match-up. The Packer’s offense still looks off. They need to find a spark quickly.

9) Oakland Raiders (4-1) (LW: 8)

This team is very well coached. This team is tough minded. This team built a fantastic offensive line. Notice a key word there? TEAM. I’m already seeing the “Derek Carr for MVP?” headlines… Carr is great, but I can already see him being this year’s Cam Newton… A very good QB who happens to have a ton of help also, so his game is elevated and therefore he ends up being massively overrated by the general public. The Raiders would be 4-1 with Drew Brees. They’d be 4-1 with Andrew Luck. They’d be 4-1 with Philip Rivers. They’d be 4-1 with Russell Wilson. Can we stop giving all of the credit to a QB when the team wins? Please? Rant over. But yea, this team as a whole is good.

10) Philadelphia Eagles (3-1) (LW: 3)

The Eagles look like they might start crashing down to earth. Still, the Lions have kept it close with everyone this season, so maybe they were just due for a second win? This game against Washington should be interesting.

11) Buffalo Bills (3-2) (LW: 15)

Aside from this blunder, the Bills looked pretty good this weekend against a hot Rams team. They have a very good chance to make a statement against a weak 49ers team too. This team is catching fire.

12) Washington Redskins (3-2) (LW: 18)

The Redskins just continue to impress after an awful start. Now they play against a suddenly vulnerable Eagles team. This game is HUGE.

13) Los Angeles Rams (3-2) (LW: 13)

They stay put, simply because all of the teams below them just look… Worse…

14) Cincinnati Bengals (2-3) (LW: 12)

They should fall more… The Bengals don’t look right. Again… The teams after just happen to be worse.

15) Baltimore Ravens (3-2) (LW: 9)

Maybe Marty Mornhinweg can help this offense? This team has the talent… The defense plays well. The offense has some playmakers and Joe Flacco can turn it up at any point. So what is wrong? Why did this offense look so vanilla?

16) Houston Texans (3-2) (LW: 14)

This team has proven to me that they have almost no shot of winning a title this year… They’re just simply outclassed by actual contenders. But they’ll continue to beat up on their weak opponents.

17) Detroit Lions (2-3) (LW: 22)

This is a very pesky team. They always keep it close. This game against the Rams should be interesting. A win here and suddenly Detroit has a chance to make some noise.

18) Arizona Cardinals (2-3) (LW: 21)

Until they start to look like the Cardinals of old, I don’t know what to think. Yes they won, against a very weak 49ers team. But this still doesn’t look like a great team. Big game against the Jets this week.

19) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-3) (LW: 25)

I have no idea what to expect from the Bucs on a week to week basis… Sometimes they look great. Sometimes they look atrocious. Some games the offense is great but the defense is awful. Sometimes it’s the opposite… I have no idea what this team is.

20) Tennessee Titans (2-3) (LW: 31)

Maybe I was too hard on them? Look what happens when Mariota plays well. This team has a very underrated defense… If Marcus continues to put up 2-3 TDs a game, the Titans could sneak into the Playoffs.

21) New York Giants (2-3) (LW: 16)

Eli Manning? Dangerous front 7? Looking incredibly mediocre? Patriots look unstoppable? God this team is totally winning the Super Bowl this year…

22) Kansas City Chiefs (2-2) (LW: 17)

They fell simply because of how other teams moved. Can Andy Reid continue his notorious Bye Week successes against a red hot Raiders team?

23) Indianapolis Colts (2-3) (LW: 23)

If the MVP actually went to the player who helps their team the most, it would be Andrew Luck… This would be the worst team in football by far if it wasn’t for him. The roster is very thin. The coaching is a joke. But somehow, they have 2 wins and have kept it close against other teams? Seriously, I know they aren’t good anyway, but they’d be getting blown out on a weekly basis with even an average QB.

24) Jacksonville Jaguars (1-3) (LW: 28)

Ok… You’re headed into Chicago after a Bye Week… Jay Cutler will likely still be out… A loss here means Gus Bradley has to go.

25) New York Jets (1-4) (LW: 20)

I never thought I’d say this but… Geno time? I mean, Fitzpatrick follows up one of the best games of his career with a 3 game stink-fest. This team could have at least 3 wins if he was playing better.

26) Carolina Panthers (1-4) (LW: 19)

Derek Anderson moved the ball well against Tampa… But the Panthers just shot themselves in the foot too many times. They could have won this game by double digits…

27) New Orleans Saints (1-3) (LW: 24)

This game against the Panthers has me on the edge of my seat already… Cam Newton should be back against an awful Saints defense… But the Panthers look like garbage this season.

28) San Diego Chargers (1-4) (LW: 26)

The Chargers have become a meme…

29) San Francisco 49ers (1-4) (LW: 30)

It’s KAEPERNICK TIME!!!!! Maybe the afro has brought him new powers.

30) Chicago Bears (1-4) (LW: 28)

Well… I feel bad for Bears fans… This season just seems disastrous.

31) Miami Dolphins (1-4) (LW: 27)

Ryan Tannehill is living a nightmare scenario right now… the dude can’t catch a break.

32) Cleveland Browns (0-5) (LW: 32)

It was pretty rude of the NFL to sabotage the Browns like that. Really? There wasn’t a team in the league who stood a chance against the Patriots this week. Bill Belicheck had MONTHS to prepare for how he’d use Brady in their first game. Honestly… I’m impressed they even kept it within 20.
