Every Sunday during football is beautiful, but this week feels like a lot of fun. So much is happening, let’s rank the games based on watchability.
1) Denver Broncos @ Cincinnati Bengals
This game means so much. Two teams that are in the two toughest divisions in football. A few wins could be the difference between being a top seed and missing the playoffs altogether. With the Ravens, Steelers, Chiefs, Raiders, and Chargers all on these two teams heels, they’ll both be looking for a win.
2) New York Jets @ Kansas City Chiefs
This is a match-up between two teams that will likely be in the Wild Card hunt come December. The Jet’s schedule only gets harder these next few weeks, so they NEED this win. But the Chiefs need to capitalize on all of their home games… This is pretty big.
Should Be Entertaining
3) Minnesota Vikings @ Carolina Panthers
The Viking’s defense alone is good enough to make this game interesting. But without Adrian Peterson, and with a banged up offensive line, I can see this one getting ugly.
4) San Diego Chargers @ Indianapolis Colts
We’ve had plenty of “Battles of the Unbeaten”; this is more of a “Battle of the beaten down.” Two teams that have suffered some unfortunate injuries battle here in a game that could have some playoff implications. Can the Chargers stay consistent for two straight weeks? Can Andrew Luck will his team to victory?
5) Pittsburgh Steelers @ Philadelphia Eagles
We have two undefeated teams; one that isn’t surprising, and one that is. We’ll finally find out what the Eagles are really made of here. I’m very excited.
Could Be Entertaining
6) Oakland Raiders @ Tennessee Titans
Will Marcus Mariota build off of the momentum of that game winning drive last week? Or will the Titan’s offense look stagnant? Will the Raider’s defense actually reach it’s potential? This could be a blowout… For either team.
7) Houston Texans @ New England Patriots
Jacoby Brissett.. I just can’t see him winning this game. But you really never know with Belicheck.
8) Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans Saints
When the Saint’s offense plays well, the defense plays like garbage. When the defense plays well, the offense plays like garbage. Can they actually put together a complete game? If they can, they could actually be a scary opponent.
9) Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers
Something is wrong with Aaron Rodgers… But any week he could become “R-E-L-A-X” Rodgers again. Maybe this is the week?
10) Washington Redskins @ New York Giants
This game makes it here because the Redskins have more talent than people realize. They could actually test their division rival here.
Yuk… But Important
11) San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks are struggling… Obviously. Maybe this will be the game that they finally get out of their funk? Or maybe the 49ers prove that they have a chance to win more than 4 games?
If You Aren’t a Fan, You Probably Aren’t Watching
12) Baltimore Ravens @ Jacksonville Jaguars
The Ravens are the better team, but it will be interesting to see if the Jaguars can finally reach their offensive potential.
13) Arizona Cardinals @ Buffalo Bills
I’m only watching to see if the Cardinals can continue to look like the Cardinals, or if we need to be concerned again.
14) Chicago Bears @ Dallas Cowboys
How did this game make it to prime time… Even before the injuries there were so many more interesting match-ups..
Even If You Are a Fan… You Might Not Be Watching
15) Los Angeles Rams @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Battle for a high draft pick? Neither team looks very poised to make a playoff run any time soon…
16) Cleveland Browns @ Miami Dolphins
Yay, the Dolphins will win a game!
