Green Bay Packers Storyline
It’s a brand new season for the Green Bay Packers, who appear to be revitalized after defeating the Redskins in the Wild Card Round. Aaron Rodgers threw for 2 TDs and no INTs and the Packers rushed for 141 yards as they stomped the Redskins in Fed Ex. Now they’ll look to avenge themselves against a Cardinals team that destroyed the Packers just a few weeks ago.
David Bakhtiari (LT) – After missing the Wild Card game, it looks like Bakhtiari will play this weekend. This will be HUGE for a Packers offensive line that performs well when all of the pieces are in the right place. Against a vicious Cardinals pass rush, the Packers NEED all of the help they can get on the line.
Arizona Cardinals Storyline
Finally, we got to see what this team is fully capable. After a disappointing end to a 2014 season where Carson Palmer went down, he managed to stay healthy and lead the Cardinals to a 13-3 record. The offense looks unstoppable, and the defense is loaded too. Now we’ll see if Carson can finally get his first Playoff victory ever.
David Johnson (RB) – The Cardinals are going to throw the ball… Obviously. But if David Johnson can establish the rushing attack again, like they did in their first match-up, it’ll make life hellish for the Packers defense. The Packers secondary has a ton of talent, but if they’re worried about the run AND the play-action, even they won’t be able to handle this Arizona receiving corps.
The Cardinals will win yet again, although it will be closer. The Cardinals just have too much on offense for the Packers defense to handle. Carson Palmer makes a statement as he heads to his first Conference Championship.
Final Score – Cardinals win 35-31
